September in New Hampshire

Fall in New Hampshire, one of my favorite things! The air feels different, smells different, and with the cooler temperatures I get a burst of energy, much needed to deal with the produce from the garden and the blueberries I harvested. However, this week we have experienced a warmer than usual weather pattern making work in the kitchen a challenge. A good reason for an early morning drive! Yesterday morning was cool and resulted in pond “smoke”! I noticed some of the swamp maples and a few of the stressed trees are beginning to show a change in color, a glimpse of what’s to come! I love September in New Hampshire! May Pond, Washington, NH
